Chelmsford Health Centre, operated by Rainbow Diagnostics Ltd, is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040 for all scopes of greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1, 2 and 3).
Our baseline emissions assessment incorporates data from our direct operations at Chelmsford Health Centre and the wider operations of Rainbow Diagnostics. The Centre includes urgent care, GP services, specialist outpatient clinics, diagnostics (X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiography), minor procedures, and administrative functions.
Heating, on-site energy use, clinical waste disposal, company vehicles.
Purchased electricity for facilities.
Consumables, procurement, business travel, patient/staff commuting, outsourced diagnostics, waste disposal, digital services.
Methodology: Chelmsford Health Centre will use the NHS Carbon Footprint Plus methodology to align measurement and reporting with NHS sustainability requirements.

Aim to recycle at least 70% of waste; reduce landfill contribution to under 5% by 2027
Increased use of telehealth consultations to reduce patient travel emissions
