Everything you need to know about our cardiology services

No, you can book a private cardiology consultation directly. However, if your GP has already requested tests or written a referral letter, please bring this with you – it can save time and avoid duplicate investigations.
We usually offer cardiology appointments within a few days, and sometimes sooner if your symptoms are more urgent. Our booking team will always try to accommodate your availability.
We work with many major UK health insurers. Coverage varies between policies, so please contact our reception team or your insurer with our clinic details to confirm authorisation before your visit.
Please bring: a list of your current medicines (including doses), any previous ECGs, echocardiograms or hospital letters, your insurance details if applicable, and a note of your main questions or concerns.
In many cases, resting ECGs can be performed during your appointment. Echocardiograms and 7-day tapes are often arranged within a short timeframe, sometimes on the same day depending on availability.
If you require procedures such as coronary angiography, stenting or valve surgery, your cardiologist will discuss hospital options and can refer you to appropriate NHS or private cardiac centres, ensuring your care is joined-up and coordinated.
Our cardiology service is primarily designed for adults (typically age 16+). For younger patients, we can work with our paediatrics team to advise on the most suitable paediatric cardiology service or specialist.
If you have severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, collapse or stroke-like symptoms, please dial 999 or attend A&E immediately. Private cardiology clinics are not a replacement for emergency services.
